The management of the Libyan club Al-Ahly Benghazi has closed the contract file with the Moroccan “Ashraf Ben Sharqi” player of the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, after the talks between the parties reached an impasse as a result of high financial demands from the Cairo club and the player himself.
Informed sources revealed that the Libyan club officials decided to completely ignore the completion of negotiations, after their ambitions collided with financial conditions described as impossible, despite the player’s initial welcome to try out in the Libyan league after contacts gathered club officials with his agent.
The financial dispute was represented by Ben Sharqi’s demand for an annual salary of (1.6 million dollars), subject to a clear financial increase from what he currently receives in Cairo, and assuring his representatives that he would not accept any offer equal to his current salary, and further complicating the situation, the Egyptian National Bank’s management insisted on obtaining one million dollars to approve the sale of the remaining term of the contract of the Moroccan Pavilion, bringing the total value required to resolve the deal to about (2.6 million dollars).
