Press reports revealed that the negotiations between the two sides witnessed some negotiations on the financial side, where al-Nabi asked for a monthly salary of up to (60 million tempting centimeters), while Al-Wadad Management stuck to an offer not exceeding (40 million centimeters) per month, and the offer made by Al-Wadad management is the same salary that al-Nabi had previously received during his previous two experiences with Al-Rajaa sports and with the South African Kaizer Chiefs, which the club management relied on to determine the ceiling of negotiations.
The proposed contract is scheduled to run until the end of next June, with a total salary of up to (360 million centimes) over the course of 9 months, not counting the incentives and bonuses associated with achieving the goals set by the management, and the terms of the WADA included the need to include a national framework or a former player of the team to the assistant staff of the Tunisian coach, in order to ensure the presence of an element close to the atmosphere of the club and knows its specifics well.
The administration also stipulated that Al-Naby himself bear the costs of his assistant technical staff members, as part of a policy of rationalizing expenses, and it was agreed between the parties to determine the value of the penalty clause equivalent to only two months salary, and Al-Wadad management linked an important part of the bonuses to sports results, where al-Naby will receive a grant of (100 million centimes) if the team finished the national championship in first or second place, which guarantees direct qualification to the African Champions League.
Al-Wadad management continues to work on settling the status of Portuguese coach Paulo Sergio, as his financial dues, according to Al-Akhbar newspaper, amount to about (320 million centimes), while the management is currently negotiating an offer of (80 million centimes) to terminate the contract amicably, and the club’s President Ibrahim al-Asri seeks to reach an agreement that allows the disengagement with Sergio at the lowest possible cost, in parallel with the advanced negotiations with Nasreddine al-Nabi to take over the leadership of the team in the coming period.
