According to news agencies, La Liga President Javier Tebas has launched a fresh wave of fiery remarks, taking aim at Real Madrid on multiple fronts, including refereeing controversies, fixture congestion, broadcasting rights, and the ongoing European Super League battle.
Tebas addressed recent refereeing debates, casting doubt on the legitimacy of the penalty kick awarded to French striker Kylian Mbappé against Racing. He argued that VAR officials should have reviewed the incident more thoroughly and called on the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) to provide a clear explanation to the public regarding the play.
Tebas also responded to the ongoing complaints from Portuguese coach José Mourinho regarding fixture schedules. He suggested that Mourinho should consult Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, rather than making public protests. Tebas reminded everyone that Mourinho used to play matches with much shorter rest periods during his time in the English Premier League without generating this level of controversy.
The La Liga chief concluded his remarks by mocking the narratives surrounding the “Negreira Case,” pointing an accusatory finger directly at the media policy of Real Madrid’s official television channel. Tebas claimed that the club’s leadership is deliberately attempting to undermine the integrity of the league and damage the market value of broadcasting rights-part of a strategy aimed at weakening the domestic competition to support the launch of the European Super League.
