Bayern Munich executives have decisively put an end to rumors linking them with a move for Manchester City’s prolific Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland. The club expressed complete satisfaction with their current attacking setup, spearheaded by English star Harry Kane.
According to Sport Bild reporter Christian Falk, who shared details of a conversation with Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, the Bavarian board has ruled out any future move for Haaland. Falk noted that the club’s position is clear: “Bayern already has the best striker in world football in Harry Kane, as well as a strong overall attacking lineup.”
The German outlet further highlighted that Bayern’s stance remains firm regardless of the outcome of Manchester City’s appeal against the 114 alleged financial breaches in the Premier League, even if potential sanctions end up prompting key players to leave the English club.
Despite the age gap favoring the 26-year-old Norwegian over the 33-year-old England captain, Bayern’s technical evaluation goes far beyond simple goalscoring metrics. The management views Kane as offering a unique tactical dimension due to his ability to drop deep, link play, and create chances for his teammates-exceptional qualities that make him far more than just a box striker and significantly harder to replace.
