Borussia Dortmund snatched a dramatic and precious draw against hosts Bayern Munich with two goals for each team, in the face of the Flaming Classics hosted by the Allianz Arena, within the competitions of the eighth round of Bundesliga competitions.

The top of the round came full of club and twists, as the Bavarian giant translated its advantage in the first half by opening the scoring by Austrian Konrad Leimer in the 38th minute, after following a ball that bounced off goalkeeper Gregor Kopel. Dortmund had scored a goal in the 35th minute by Jupp Billingham, but video assistant technology canceled the goal due to a mistake by Karni Chukwuemeka against goalkeeper Jonas orbeg.

In the second half, Harry Kane squandered the opportunity to strengthen the lead for the Bavarians by missing a penalty kick in the 56th minute, which was returned by the crossbar, only for the visitors to quickly punish the hosts with an equalizer in the 60th minute through serho Geraci following a neat pass from Chukwuemeka.

Despite the success of French defender Diot Aubameyang in bringing Bayern back to the lead with an elaborate header in the 66th minute, with the bad luck continuing to chase Kane, who the keeper blocked for a third attempt, the last word was for Portuguese substitute Fabio Silva. Silva took advantage of a defensive lapse and confusion in the owners ‘ areas in the 89th minute to fire a right-footed shot that settled the net and declared a stunning equalizer.

With this result, the two teams shared the top points to keep the struggle burning at the top of the Bundesliga, as Bayern Munich retained the first place with 18 points, a goal difference from Borussia Dortmund, the second place with the same balance, after each raised their record to five wins and three draws without tasting a loss so far.
