Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi revealed a humorous exchange involving his manager, Luis Enrique, which briefly triggered the Spanish coach’s anger right after Hakimi scored Paris Saint-Germain’s opening goal in their 5-1 dominance over Le Havre in Ligue 1.
According to El Sport, Hakimi delivered a standout performance, establishing himself as the undisputed man of the match by contributing to all five of his team’s goals-scoring a impressive hat-trick and providing two assists. However, it was his celebration after the first goal that stole the spotlight. Hakimi engaged in a lighthearted exchange with the assistant referee regarding the validity of the goal and a potential offside decision. Watching from the bench, Luis Enrique misread the moment, assuming his player was inappropriately protesting to the official. The misunderstanding was quickly cleared up when it became evident that Hakimi was merely sharing a playful, good-natured joke.
Speaking after the match, Hakimi highlighted the challenges of away fixtures, expressing pride in his teammates’ strong response and character to bounce back and secure all three points after conceding early. He concluded by noting that the team has temporarily set the domestic league aside as they shift their complete focus toward their upcoming Champions League clash against Villarreal, aiming to maintain their momentum on the European stage.
