The technical staff of Zamalek Club has finalized its position regarding the striker “Nasser Mansi,” after a period of tension following his controversial actions during the team’s match against the Rwandan army in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.
The player had angered the fans and management after scoring the winning goal in that match, when he threw the team’s shirt and acted inappropriately toward the bench and the coaching staff. The club responded with strict disciplinary measures, including a hefty fine, an immediate suspension, and a referral for an official investigation to enforce discipline within the white camp.
According to sources, Mansi has received the green light to rejoin the collective training sessions held at the secondary pitch of the Air Defense Stadium, following his full compliance with the penalties and adherence to the management’s decisions. The decision for his technical pardon came under the leadership of coach “Moataz Gamal” and football director “Abdel Nasser Mohamed,” with the confirmation that his return to participate in official matches will be entirely subject to his technical readiness and the coach’s vision in the upcoming period.
This comes at a time when Zamalek continues its preparations to face Arab Contractors in the eighth round of the league, scheduled to be held on Wednesday evening at the Cairo International Stadium, driven by securing a spot in the African group stage after repeating its victory home and away against the Rwandan champion with the same result, one goal to none.
