Media reports have indicated a decisive move within the corridors of the Moroccan Professional Football League to relocate the anticipated match between Raja Club Athletic and its guest Hassania Agadir, for the fifth round of the Moroccan league, outside the walls of the Mohammed V Sports Complex.
This emergency move came after widespread dissatisfaction with the deterioration of the “Donor” pitch, which appeared in poor condition during the recent match between Raja and Nigeria’s El Kanemi Warriors in the second leg of the African Confederation preliminary round. The intention is to relieve the green carpet of further pressure to give the responsible company enough time to rehabilitate it, especially with the stadium set to host the Moroccan national team’s match against Niger in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
According to what was reported by “Radio Mars,” the compass has almost definitively settled on the Arab Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca as the ready alternative to host the match, pending official and final confirmation from the Professional League in the coming hours. According to the current schedule, the Green team will play their match against the Souss team next Wednesday, with the kickoff set for six o’clock in the evening.
