The medical staff of the Egypt national football team has put an end to the ongoing debate surrounding الأهلي (Al Ahly) midfielder Emam Ashour and his availability for the Pharaohs’ upcoming international break camp in November.
This clarification comes amid the player’s notable absence from Al Ahly’s recent fixtures, having missed the matches against Kitara in the CAF Confederation Cup and Modern Sport in the Egyptian Premier League, as well as being left out of the squad for the League Cup match against El Mokawloon El Arab.
A source within the national team’s medical staff clarified the player’s situation: “The national team medical staff has not been notified of any injury regarding Emam Ashour by Al Ahly’s medical team. As it stands, he will be included in Egypt’s preliminary squad for the November camp.”
The Pharaohs are preparing for two crucial fixtures against Malawi in the third and fourth rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The first leg will take place in Cairo on Friday, November 13, before the team travels for the return fixture on November 17.
